Week 1 Day 1: FAIL

Dear Self,

Don't beat yourself up. Some people just aren't meant to be runners.

Love,
Your sore ankles.

I gotta tell you, I'm not strong enough for the couch to 5k program either. When Steph and I began running (4 years ago), we did it completely on our own. It took me 7months to work up to a 5k, as opposed to the 8 weeks of most of those programs. Some bodies simply don't adjust, and it's a lot of mind over matter. After taking too long of a break from exercising, I tried to get back to the 5k level by doing a couch to 5k program, and failed miserably. I have to go much slower than that, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. The important thing is that you're doing something. After baby not-olivia is born, my goal is to run the same 5k I ran the first time, which is at the beginning of May. I'd love to have a partner. But be warned, I train with music and only music. I would not talk to you and would not want you to talk to me. Just having the company is nice. (-:
